Delete Your Looty Chords Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Looty Chords account and associated data from our website and mobile applications. You do not need to sign in to submit a deletion request by email.

How to request account deletion

You can request deletion of your Looty Chords account at any time. To help us verify your identity and protect your account, please send your request from the email address associated with your Looty Chords account.

Email us at support@lootychords.com with the subject line "Account deletion request" and include the email address registered to your Looty Chords account. We will confirm your request and process deletion as described below.

What data is deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, we delete or anonymize account-related data where applicable, including:

  • Account profile information (such as your name, email address, and optional profile details).
  • Saved practice progress, streaks, assessments, and other learning data stored in your account.
  • App preferences and settings linked to your account.
  • Subscription-related app records stored in our systems, where applicable and where we are not required to retain them.

If you also have an active Looty Chords subscription, cancel it through the platform where you subscribed (for example, the Apple App Store or Google Play, or through your account billing settings on the web) before or when you request deletion, so you are not charged after your account is removed.

What data may be retained

Some information may be retained where required or permitted for legal, security, billing, fraud prevention, or compliance reasons. This may include:

  • Billing, payment, and transaction records required for accounting, tax, or dispute resolution.
  • Records needed to comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.
  • Limited security and fraud-prevention logs.
  • Information that has already been aggregated or de-identified and no longer identifies you.

Processing time

We aim to process verified account deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe. You may receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete. If we need additional information to verify your request, we will contact you at the email address associated with your account.
